Plans For Bluestone Bicycle Trail In Harrisonburg Move Forward by Jeff Mellott
HARRISONBURG - A bike path connecting Port Republic Road and Stone Spring Road in Harrisonburg is on the drawing board to be completed next spring, pending the help of outside funding.
Named the Bluestone Trail, city officials plan to build an asphalt path 10 feet wide and about 2,000 feet long, just west of Interstate 81. A portion of the proposed path would cross the city's Purcell Park.
